When our first restaurant choice for lunch in Como was closed, we decided to just go to the main town and explore.
We ended up eating in Le Colonne, which is right in the middle of all the action.
Near the lake, shops and the cathedral.
E always tells me that it is almost impossible to find bad food in Italia.
True enough, even this spontaneous / last minute plan turned out to be a pleasant surprise!
The outside area of the restaurant, which is also housed with a hotel,
has a more contemporary look (all glass, etc). The inside area,
however, has a more traditional feel.
Spaghetti alle Vongole! Molto buono!
Pasta al Pomodoro! Simple and classic.
Antipasti included Bresoala, air-dried salted beef aged
until it becomes hard and turns into a dark red color.
View from the restaurant. Spot ILOILO (my home city) on the building! :))
One happy + full (and shy) kid! Hahaha.
