A friend gave me a list of cool places to check out in Milan, but could only do one - as we only had less than five hours.

It was really a no brainer though with 10 Corso Como.

A boutique hotel, restaurant and shop founded by Vogue's Carla Sozzani in 1990.

It features and sells art, culture and fashion pieces.

I really loved the place - the idea of having a lifestyle complex is fabulous. The ambience is really hip and contemporary but also chill and relaxing at the same time. Apparently, it is a popular choice among celebrities. And true enough, spotted Domenico Dolce (of D&G) having lunch that time.

The street is full of energy and character that I expected from Milan.

The facade of 10 Corso Como. Very charming.

The dining area leads to the shop - I like the setup as it offers

a more relaxed and shopping experience.

Our meal would not have been complete without dessert + wine + coffee. :))

The area presents an interesting contrast + mix of the old and present.

The hip and contemporary Corso Como is in the same area as Porta Volta -

a neoclassical arch that was once one of Milan's toll gates.
