Le Planteur topped my list of restaurants to visit in Yangon. And I was extremely happy when I did because it did not disappoint.
From our hotel, it was a bit of a trek because of the traffic. But did not mind as it is close to the residence of Aung San Suu Kyi so had a bit of history with the drive.
I was in awe with the place – the renovated colonial house amidst the lush garden and the lake with ducks moving freely – as it was just picture-perfect. This along with the great food and service, Le Planteur gave us one magical dining experience.
Le Planteur’s stunning and romantic setting.
With the perfect weather, we opted to have our dinner in the garden. A little peek from the lounge.
The indoor restaurant has exotic décor and artwork.
Consistent aesthetics all over the property – including the powder room!
All throughout the night, we were entertained by traditional dances.
Look who took a break from their party on the lake, and came to say hello!
